Theo Haugen leads Asset Management and is building a future where owning a home with Unison is better. His team leverages data insights and new technologies to drive industry-first Asset Management interventions that generate alpha for investors and better financial outcomes for homeowners. Prior to joining Unison, he led Auto Refinance operations and Fraud at peer-to-peer lending pioneer LendingClub and has over a decade of experience in venture funded startups and growth stage companies. Theo received his MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, and his BS in Neuroscience and BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Brandan manages the execution of investment management strategies and portfolio administration to maximize investor return and ensure that each customer has an excellent experience working with Unison Investment Management. Brandan also assists with fund accounting and investment operations across the company. Prior to joining the Investment Management team, Brandan worked closely with Unison’s partner lenders and end consumers. This puts him in a unique position to manage assets with a human element and a deep understanding of the Unison brand. Brandan began his career in FinTech at SoFi, the student loan refi disruptor, where he served as a Loan Analyst and Underwriter for both student loans and personal loans. He is a graduate of Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
As a member of the Home Partnership team, Mia serves as the voice of Unison where she works with homeowners, real estate agents, loan officers, title agents, appraisers, and vendors. She helps manage servicing and asset management cases. This includes helping homeowners understand their contractual obligations, secure new financing, analyze their home sales, and organize their remodeling projects. Mia is excited to help develop industry-first asset management practices that deliver value to the world's largest portfolio of home equity co-investments. She is also passionate about technology, and how it can be used to provide more options and offer alternative solutions to a multitude of problems facing society. She has a legal background and 5+ years of experience working for tech startups in the Bay Area and in Seattle. Mia is a graduate of the University of New South Wales with a Juris Doctor degree and the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology (with honors).
Paul is a Relationship Management Associate on the Home Partnership Team where he works with Unison homeowners to guide them through the process of terminating their Unison Agreement and the process of subordination mortgages. Prior to working at Unison, Paul worked as a Loan Officer at Better.com. Paul has also worked at several other startups in business operational capacities. Paul holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Thomas Edison State University.
As a Relationship Management Associate, Robert works alongside Unison’s homeowners to help them navigate their homeownership journey while also protecting investor interest. Prior to joining the Home Partnership Team, he was an Account Executive which provided him with extensive product knowledge and a unique perspective when it comes to the company and its homeowners. Robert has 8+ years experience within the mortgage industry, starting as a Loan Originator with E-Loan, specializing in Home Equity Loans and Lines of Credit. He then moved on to Wachovia, advocating for clients to receive loan modifications during the tumultuous great recession. Robert started his career in FinTech in 2017, working as a client facing operations specialist for Lending Club before joining Unison.
